DLA Piper strengthens Corporate team in Finland
DLA Piper announces that Salla Tuominen has been promoted to partner in the firm’s Corporate practice in Helsinki, Finland, effective from 2 January 2020.
Salla, who joined the firm in 2017 as senior counsel, advises clients on a broad range of matters relating to corporate law, private equity, capital market transactions and M&A. With over 15 years’ experience, Salla’s practice includes capital markets, public takeovers and other domestic and cross-border M&A transactions involving both public and private corporations. She is also experienced in advising on, and negotiating venture capital and private equity transactions, and advising start-up companies. She also has in-depth knowledge of corporate governance and compliance.
Before joining DLA Piper Salla worked at two international law firms in Helsinki and at Nasdaq Helsinki. In 2019, she received a prestigious Legal Influencer award from the Finnish Bar Association for her work as an attorney in the field of pro bono work. Salla is also a co-author of the Initial Public Offering Law Review.
In addition, DLA Piper has hired Essi Lavikkala as counsel in its Corporate team in Finland. Essi joined DLA Piper on 7 January 2020 from another international law firm, where she worked for 10 years. She is experienced in advising industrial clients and private equity firms on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, joint ventures, equity investments and real estate deals.
DLA Piper has also promoted Corporate associate Antti Eeva to senior associate as of 2 January 2020. Antti joined DLA Piper in 2016 and has since worked on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions and company law related assignments. He has successfully followed the firm’s career training path and expanded his work to larger deals and responsibilities while gaining more experience.
