DLA Piper advised Tesi (Finnish Industry Investment Ltd) in connection with fiber optic provider Valoo’s (Adola Ltd) debt and equity funding round worth over €250 million. Tesi participated as a minority investor in the funding round', which was led by DIF Capital Partners, a Dutch investment company.

Valoo (Adola Ltd), founded in 2019, is a Finnish growth company that builds and operates fiber optic networks (also known as fibre-to-the-home, or FTTH) in suburban areas. With the secured growth funding, the company continues to pursue its ambitious goal of bringing more than 300,000 households into its network by 2030.

Tesi is a state-owned investment company that invests in venture capital and private equity funds and directly in Finnish growth companies. Tesi makes investments on the same terms and return expectations together with private investors. Tesi wants Finnish expertise, perseverance and creative passion to produce solutions to global challenges. As an investor, Tesi is financing and co-developing these sustainable solutions.

”The expert approach of DLA Piper was very valuable, and working with the DLA Piper team was seamless” says Hanne Stenman, General Counsel of Tesi.

The DLA Piper advisory team comprised Jonathan Andersin and Eliel Ahmala from DLA Piper Finland and Emiel Scheffe from DLA Piper Netherlands.
