DLA Piper has advised an infrastructure fund controlled by Equitix, a UK-based infrastructure asset manager, in the acquisition of a newly built multi-storey parking property in Helsinki from eQ Finnish Real Estate special investment fund.

The transaction reflects the current international investor demand for centrally located assets. The parking property is located in Jätkäsaari, next to the Helsinki West Harbour, one of the busiest passenger ports in Europe. The property offers more than 700 parking spaces and primarily serves West Harbour passengers but also companies, visitors and residents in the area. The property is fully let with a long-term lease agreement to the Port of Helsinki, a subsidiary to the City of Helsinki.

The DLA Piper team was led by partner Mikko Larvala, supported by senior associate Tuukka Toropainen as well as associates Petteri Larnimaa and Aleksi Jounela.
