DLA Piper advised Carelin Oy and its shareholders in the sale of Carelin Oy to AFRY. Carelin Oy operates in wind power, solar power and energy storage markets. The company is a market leader in the strong Finnish wind power market and is well positioned to benefit from the growing demand in the solar and energy storage markets through strong market presence. 

Carelin Oy has been involved in nearly half of all wind power investment projects in Finland since 2017 with project care services, including project management, site supervision, technical inspections and construction preparation advisory services. In addition to project care services, Carelin Oy provides energy and asset care services which include asset lifecycle management during asset’s operation phase, as well as site care services, including mandatory and voluntary inspection and audit services across the asset lifecycle. 

The acquisition will complement AFRY’s offering in the renewables sector and enable full lifecycle services from project development to Owner’s Engineering as well as Operations and Maintenance services.
