DLA Piper has advised the sellers on the sale of Kaslink to Fazer Group. Kaslink, established in 2001, is a family-owned company located in Koria, south-east Finland. Kaslink is specialized in developing and manufacturing premium Scandinavian food products, including cooking products, drinks and snacks. Its products are available in more than 15 countries in Europe. Nutritionally rich and sustainable Nordic oats play a central role in the company’s production.

Kaslink is planned to become part of the Fazer Lifestyle Foods business area which operates in all Nordic countries and focuses on non-dairy grain products, plant-based meals and on-the-go snacking. With the acquisition, Fazer is speeding up its transformation into a modern sustainable food company with a joint direction.

The transaction is subject to Consumer and Competition Authority approval.

The DLA Piper team comprised corporate partner Ilkka Liljeroos, antitrust and competition partner Mika Oinonen as well as corporate associate Eliel Ahmala and antitrust and competition associate Auriina Holck.
