DLA Piper has advised Pamark Group on the sale of the entire share capital of Pamark Business (“Pamark”) to Bunzl Holding Nordic A/S (“Bunzl”), owned by Bunzl plc, an international distribution and services group.

Pamark is one of Finland's leading distributors in the healthcare, cleaning and HoReCa product segments. Its customers include companies and public sector operators nationwide. Pamark Business Oy and its subsidiary Systeema Oy have a combined turnover of approximately EUR 60 million and employ more than 100 people.

Bunzl Holding Nordic A/S is owned by Bunzl plc, an international distribution and services group operating in 33 countries, employing 24,500 people and with a turnover of £12 billion. This is Bunzl's first acquisition in Finland. Following the acquisition of Pamark, Bunzl Nordic consists of seven companies in Finland, Denmark and Norway.

Pamark will remain within the group as an independent company, which will continue to operate from its current offices in Vantaa, Joensuu, Kuopio and Oulu. Minna Åman-Toivio will continue as Managing Director of the company together with the rest of the staff.

"It is great to be part of bringing the world's largest company in our industry and a major investment to Finland, and to be a growth platform for future acquisitions in the Finnish market", commented Minna Åman-Toivio, Managing Director of Pamark.

The core advisory team at DLA Piper consisted of Ilkka Liljeroos, Essi Lavikkala, and Henri Vartiainen.
