DLA Piper has advised Nordic Investment Bank on its up to EUR100 million COVID-19 response loan to Tallink Silja Oy, the Finnish subsidiary of the Estonian AS Tallink Grupp. The Republic of Finland provided a state guarantee of up to EUR90 million for the loan.
The Corona-pandemic and thereto related border restrictions have affected heavily to the operations of the shipping companies. The purpose of the loan is to strengthen Tallink’s liquidity buffers and to safeguard the security of supply and maintain critically important freight traffic to Finland.
DLA Piper Helsinki-based Finance & Projects team was led by Hans Sundblad and Mikko Luukkonen, who were supported by Vilma Nuutinen and Tiia Mäki.
