Gitte has a right of audience before the Danish High Courts and is expertised in complex and lengthy disputes, which are conducted before the Danish courts or the Danish Institute of Arbitration, etc. 

She is a trusted advisor to a wide range of business enterprises and assists especially in resolving disputes relating to breach of contract or other contract-law problems. In addition, she provides advice on dispute resolution regarding claims under the law of damages, including those relating to professional liability, management liability and prospectus liability.  

Moreover, she assists public and semi-public clients; in that capacity she is particularly skilled in operating in the interface between politics and the law.

Recent highlights
  • Gitte acted for a large Danish pharmaceutical company in an international arbitration, which concerned a contractual-liability dispute. It was a cross-border case involving foreign parties, where three claims totalling DKK 100m had been raised.  
  • Gitte acts for a major group of institutional investors in two pending lawsuits, which are heard together with a number of other lawsuits. The lawsuits concern prospectus liability, managerial liability and liability under the law on the sale of goods. The subject-matter value exceeds DKK 800m, and the lawsuits are particularly complex and include precedent-setting procedural issues.  
  • Gitte acted for a transport company in an insurance-law matter, which resulted in the adverse party having to amend its insurance policy. It was a complex insurance-law matter, where insurance cover had been refused several times.
